Aly Mohamed is an Egyptian American student and a budding journalist at Oregon State University. He recently earned an Honors Bachelors of Science in Bioresource Research with a concentration in Biotechnology, and a minor in Chemistry. He served as the president of the OSU Muslim Student Association for the 2005-2006 academic year.
Mohamed began his fourth year of research in the field of DNA mismatch repair at the start of 2007. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Genetics and applying for enrollment in medical school. His interest in DNA repair and the study of medicine are part and parcel to his interest in studying and eventually contributing to the field of oncology.
