Why I am the Left's Response to Coulter and NOT a "Pro Palestinian Blogger"
You will recognize the believers in their having Mercy for one another, and in their Love for one another, and in their Kindness towards one another; like the body, when one member of it hurts, the entire body hurts.~Saying of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Media hypocrisy has no bounds in Muslim-Bashing
I had to laugh when I read Steve Huntley's column in Friday's Chicago Sun-Times. Steve, my former editor there, has fashioned himself as one of the leading promoters of anti-Muslim hate. He has company at the Sun-Times although the ranks of Muslim bashers have been weeded out in the newspaper's transition from bully pulpit under Racism Baron Conrad Black to returning to respectable journalism again.

Interview with a Muslim Woman Olympic Athlete
When it comes to Muslim women who veil, the media seems t be interested in one thing: the piece of fabric on the women's head.

Is Israel One Disaster from Collapse?
Israelis are not united in supporting their government’s policies of a four-decade festering occupation of Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese territories. The occupation is costly, morally troubling and beyond the capacity of Israel to maintain. Israelis are relatively free to question the occupation; surprisingly, American politicians, especially politicians who are running for national elections, find it hard to question the occupation. If for nothing else, mere concern for Israel’s future should embolden Americans to be more discerning on issues of the Middle East. An important Carnegie recent study shows that Israel is precariously open to breakdown.

The U.S., Georgia and Iraq
America's aggressive and unjustified invasion of Iraq has come back to haunt us at the most inopportune of times, and it is likely that Russia will reap the benefits unless immediate action is taken.

Never before has America's weakened global standing and compromised moral authority been more obvious and relevant than it is in the face of Russia's recent invasion of Georgia.

The world (including the Middle East) needs to pay more attention to aerial assaults this week instead of Beijing's somersaults.

America should be expected to come to Georgia's assistance, if not militarily, than at the least through immediate humanitarian action, but it is ultimately powerless.

Inflation Breaking Saudis' Backbone
THERE is a perception that Saudis are rolling in money as the price of a barrel of oil hovers around $130. Americans have cut their driving drastically as a gallon of gasoline sells for $4.50, while we Saudis continue driving our Escalades and Hummers without much care.
Well, yes, actually we are driving our big cars and paying relatively low prices for gasoline. And I don’t feel too guilty about it. But are we living in the lap of luxury and laughing all the way to the bank as the West sheds tears of frustration because they have to buy small cars? No we’re not.

Georgians Fear Russian Fervor to Bring Them Back into the Fold Again
Anyone who knows even a little history about Georgia knows that they have always been the defenders not aggressors. They defend their sovereignty, not attack other territory or countries. A very small country, they have always fought hard to stay out of the hands of Russians; now is no different.
